Yardley 1 - 4 Old Wulfs

Old Wulfs travelled to Yardley, a team who had picked up one point so far this summer league, so Old Wulfs were expecting an easier game. However despite Yardleys league position they created the best chance of the open exchanges and to be honest played the better hockey, counter attacking effectively and often, and would have been comfortably ahead if not for better finishing and Colin making some good saves. Old Wulfs did however take the lead through the best move of the half and the only moment of quality to comment on, ball down the left with Jarcoki played inside to griff who's shot was saved and fell to Jarcoki who put the rebound away. The second half saw Old Wulfs control and dictate the play better and Old Wulfs scored their second again by Jarocki coming in off the left. Yardley got a deserved goal for their efforts from a scrappy short corner, but Olds scored their third quickly after with Ashworth tapping in at the back post. And just before the end of the game Jarocki completed his hatrick to make the score more comfortable for Old Wulfs. 4-1 final score A good result, but a poor performance a lot of work needed, structurally with the biggest note being, we can all safetly say Birch is not a central midfielder.
