Old Wulfs travelled to an inform Stourport team, on level points with only goal difference separating the teams. With both usual centre midfield missing Old Wulfs emphasised the importance of keeping their shape.
However within the first 10 Minutes Old Wulfs found themselves 2 nil down, Stourports second goal taking a massive slice of luck to score pass Colin. A quick taken free hit by Dave Cartwright on the right released Birch, who put the ball into the D where Gray flicked the ball into the top corner.
Half time gave some well earned rest bite for Old Wulfs as Stourport had passed the ball round well, but were stopped each time a direct route at goal was taken. The second half was not much different to the first, Stourport had the majority of the possession as Old Wulfs could not string passes together, isolating Griff up front. It didn't take Stourport long to build up a 4-1 lead and the flood gates opened as the last 4 goals Stourport scored were all passed around Colin leaving him no chance.
8-1 the final score, which flattered Stourport. On several occasions Old Wulfs should have had strokes and Stourport reduced to 10 men, when Old Wulfs players were tackled with no attempt to play the ball in the D. A learning curve for Old Wulfs who will look to bounce back next week against Yardly.
