Old Wulfs 9 - 0 Sils Oldies. Going into the game, Old Wulfs were looking to build on two previous good results and keep the momentum going into the big clash with Stourport the following week. Old Wulfs started slowly and allowed Sils Oldies to dominate the opening exchanges, as they ran through the midfield creating the opening chances, which Colin dealt with. Once Old Wulfs had settled, chances started to be created and as a result Old Wulfs got their first short corner. Mark went route one over the keepers head. The goal settled Old Wulfs and passing became sharper and the chances started to flow. Old Wulfs second came from an aerial ball from Mark, which Gray controlled in the D and slotted across to Will for a tap in at the back post. The third came from another aerial across field from Mark to Birchy who controlled and drove into the D and via a deflection his reverse stick shot made its way into the bottom corner. Four nil came after Sils Oldies 16 yard hit out was intercepted by Birch, he drove into the D beating 2 players and squaring the ball for Griff to slot into the goal. Five nil came from another corner, the ball out to Ward, who's shot was deflected in by Ablard at the near post. The score line could have better, if it were not for the post causing Will a few problems. 5-0 at half time. The second half saw a more controlled game from Old Wulfs, being more patient on the ball and building the play. Six nil came from a neatly taken drag flick by Mark, placing it just in off the post. Severn Nil was a well built team goal down the left, the ball finding its way to Griff who put the ball in to the D, where Birch ran in off the right wing deflected it in for Severn. Sils Oldies carved a few chances and when they did beat the defence Luke made a great double save, to keep the clean sheet. Mark got his hatrick from another short corner, which was deflected in via a defender on the line. Will rounded the scoring off to finish the match off at 9-0. Man of the match; Alex Gray.
