Wolverhampton 3 - 2 Old Wulfs
Wolverhampton were the in form team at indoor winning all their games, and with Old Wulfs expecting a good competitive game of high quality from their opposition. A good competitive game yes high quality from the opposition... No. Old Wulfs dominated possession through out the match, bombarding the Wolverhampton goal with shot after shot and short corner after short corner. However a quick counter attack in the first half gave Wolverhampton an undeserved lead, however Wilson hit back with a short corner straight past the Wolverhampton keeper, and Birch made it 2-1 when he finished another short corner as the shot was slipped back to him after injecting. 2-1 to Old Wulfs at half time. The second half was much of the same plenty of Old Wulfs possession and on numerous occasions Wolverhampton players stick challenging and even resorting to hooking Old Wulfs players legs as they ran through clean on goal, as Birch and Ablard both found out. The player in question escaped punishment from the umpires much to Old Wulfs frustration. As the game went on Wolverhampton were awarded a short corner and as Colin ran out to the attacker cramp got the better of him and he hit the floor allowing the Wolverhampton forward to lob a shot into an unguarded goal 2-2. In the final seconds of the game Wolverhampton were awarded a short corner which they took 3 attempts at and finally scored from. 3-2 to Wolverhampton it finished a great display from Old Wulfs however missed chances and a massive slice of luck for Wolverhampton were the only factors that cost Old Wulfs the game and all 3 points.
