A less experienced and changed badgers side met with a much stronger Lichfield who dominated from the start. Lichfield opened the scoring, but the badgers were able to equalise with some great positive hockey. The badgers stayed positive playing high up the field with Sam, Kai and James in attack, but Lichfield’s passing play ensured they dominated and soon made the score 2-1. Through the second half, Lichfield seemed to score through all their possession, even with some brave saves from Dan and fearless tackling from Ben and Jack. The badgers made some good breaks, through George and Tom in midfield and Sam and Kai applied enough pressure to seize a number of shorts, but were unable to capitalise. A brave and positive match, which ended 7-1. Dan was named man of the match for his goal keeping prowess.
