Absences again meant Old Wulfs came into the fixture with a changed side against the unbeaten league leaders.
Indecision and confusion during some early short corners meant we were soon 2-0 down. The pattern of the 1st half continued to be the opposition creating the chances but they were unable to increase their lead.
Old Wulfs failed to make any chances against a slick experienced Khalsa outfit.
The second half bought some positional changes for Old Wulfs in order to try and make a game of it. Straight from the restart the skipper went on a run which eluded the opposition but having got into the D was unable to get a shot in.
Old Wulfs had their best spell of the game and managed to gain some possession. O'Sullivan fed in the skipper who clipped the ball past the last defender but had a poor shot. Unfortunately at the other end we were unable to keep Khalsa out and they increased their lead to 4-0.
Finally Old Wulfs managed to create a meaningful effort on goal and some good passing lead to O'Sullivan confusing the keeper with the power of his shot.
Khalsa had another effort disallowed, before scoring another goal shortly after.
There was still time for one last chance from Old Wulfs with Thompson going on a run eluding two defenders to feed the ball to the skipper, the skipper dinked the ball past the defender but couldn't get his shot in.
Man of the Match - Sheldon put in alot of running (but the team couldn't feed him the ball) Hodgetts and Rai continue to show signs of promise, the defence battled till the end. However this week a joint award to Jeff and Thompson for their workrate throughout the game in midfield.
Finally just a word to say welcome back to our ex-Chairman Gary O'Sullivan who played his first league game for a number of years and got himself on the scoresheet.
