Match Report | With the rain lashing down and a trip to West Bromwich, Team 5 really needed to keep the momentum of the last league game. West Bromwich 4ths were really a class act and from the off had Team 5 pinned to the wall. It took a while for Team 5 to warm up but once into the swing of things it was end to end stuff and Team 5 gave as good as it got. Half time saw Team 5 down 1-0 but all was to play for. However moral broke after four short corners that were converted into goals and West Bromwich went on to pound Team 5 6-0. With poor visibility, tired legs and no conversion on goal Team 5 actually played some great positive hockey. Mentions go out to Steve “The Cat” Rowlands for bouncing around like a superball, Andy “Exocet” Cooper for bags determination with his new stick (Fred), and Danny “Mouth” Bhandal for returning back from fat camp fit as a flee and putting in the hard yards on the pitch. Man of the match went to “The Comish” Barry Sheldon for carrying on playing after taking a ball across his skull, losing several pints of blood, sealing said injury up with a piece of gum and cracking on!!!!! (That’s how Team 5 Roll) Next weeks shenanigans sees Team 5 at home against Wednesbury 4ths. |
