OLD WULFRUNIANS HOCKEY CLUB - widely known as “Old Wulfs” was formed in 1953 by a group of erstwhile school friends who had enjoyed playing hockey whilst on National Service and wanted to continue playing.

Mike Mann receiving his England Seniors gold medal from Mac FullwoodFrom modest beginnings the club has grown steadily and is now the largest club in the City of Wolverhampton and currently runs 8 Saturday sides (5 league, 2 fathom and a badgers) and sides for U16s, O35s, O40s, O50s and mixed sides on a regular basis, mostly mid week.

Our membership age ranges from 7 to 70 and new members are always welcome, regardless of age, experience or ambition. Frequent social events at both our Castlecroft HQ and elsewhere help to ensure a traditional friendly club atmosphere.
